I love layering clothes as much as the next person but there's something about layering sweaters or sweatshirts over button downed, collared shirts that exudes a sense of casual masculinity. Also, with touches of femininity like my pearl encrusted gold earrings & hair pin from Aldo.Paired my sweater + shirt combo with my emerald green Zara pants which I've had for a while but strangely haven't posted here yet.
These Kolhapuri chappals have never failed me (yet), they practically go with everything & just add that right amount of colour to any outfit. They've been the staple footwear of many Indians for years & still continue to. These bright pink ones are from Colaba Causeway but you can practically get them all over India in a variety of colours for as little as Rs. 200 ($4 approx) I'd seen a version of these pop up on Fredflare.com eons ago & I was like, asdfghjkl HOW ARE THEY FOR 30 DOLLARS?!?! but then I realised that it's good that Kolhapuris are getting out there & morphing into international frankensandals, at the very least.
I also remember Osho chappals or "Oshos" having their moment like 5 years ago. They were for 50 rupees & had procured a cult status on their own (pun intended) But I digress, as usual.
Instagram followers are no strangers to these collar chains. They also double up as sweater/cardigan guards which I was planning to make myself before I spotted this one at Blur. Which BTW you can shop online on Facebook !
Speaking of coolness & cults, I'll leave you with the epic Zeenat Aman lip-syncing in one of my favourite Bollywood songs from the movie "Hare Krishna Hare Ram"
P.S. - My outfit has nothing to do with Dev Anand's choice of attire in the video. Really.
